Our Story
A Family Devoted to Pets
Founded in 2010 by Sarah Mitchell, Peaceful Paws was born from a simple belief: every pet deserves a dignified farewell.
When Sarah lost her childhood dog, Max, she was heartbroken to find that there were no pet cemetery options in the area that felt… right. The clinical feel of veterinary disposal services didn’t match the love she felt for Max. She knew there had to be a better way.
After years of planning, Sarah and her husband Tom purchased 10 acres of beautiful Hill Country land just outside Cedar Park and created Peaceful Paws — a place where the bond between people and their pets is honored with the same reverence given to any family member.
Today, Peaceful Paws has helped over 3,000 families say goodbye to their beloved companions. From cremation services to our tranquil memorial gardens, every detail is designed with compassion and care. Our team includes certified pet cremation specialists, a grief counselor, and fellow pet lovers who understand exactly what you’re going through.
